So way back in May, I became the person with the longest name to graduate from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Out of all the graduates and undergraduates this year, mine was the only name to spill over onto a second line in the graduation program. Here's a close up of my gigantic diploma. Stay tuned for photos of the place mats I plan to make from this baby.

About four hours after graduation, I boarded a plane to Telluride, CO, where some dear friends were getting married.

Telluride is a very charming town, despite the fact that Tom Cruise lives there. And the wedding was beautiful. This photo is of the gondola station in town. The gondola is free to ride and is wind powered. I want a gondola in Baltimore now. I want to ride a gondola every day to work.
Since returning from Telluride, I have been very busy. I am cleaning out my studio and packing my things (sniffle) to move into a smaller, darker, yet more convenient studio in my basement.
I began rehearsal this week as a strip teasing sheep in Baltimore's ironic water ballet production "Mother Goosed" put on by Fluid Movement. It's not too late to sign up if you would like to be in the water ballet this year.
And, I began working with a fine group of folks to start up Dorkbot Baltimore. Our next meeting will be at Brewer's Art in the basement on Tuesday, July 17 from 7-9 PM. All are welcome! (ahem, ms. shiflet.)
